Maria Manriquez is an activist and community leader in Desert Hot Springs, CA. She’s been a parent facilitator with the California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) for over 6 years, which has allowed her to teach workshops in school districts throughout the state of California. Maria is passionate about empowering other parents to be leaders in their communities. She’s been a volunteer in her school district for over 20 years and believes in the power of parent engagement as a way to fight for an equitable and inclusive education system.
