Valerie De Luna
Valeria grew up in East Los Angeles and graduated with a Bachelors in Communications from St. John's University in New York. After graduation, she dedicated a year with AmeriCorps in Boston working with City Year. Although her offer was as the Events Project Leader, she signed up for an opportunity to mentor high school students and from there, her professional career started. Her experiences ranges from working with students in grades 5-12, developing enrichment activities and curriculum, evaluating student portfolios, advising through the college application process, and mentoring. She continues to mentor with many of those same students as they enter college. She is currently working as a Director of Admissions at a private high school.
