Yvee Reynoso is a proud alumna of Lynwood schools and a Gates Millennium Scholar. She obtained a BA in History with an focus on science and medicine and Master’s degree in Education from UCLA. As a college student, Yvee volunteered regularly at Lynwood schools to mentor high school juniors and seniors, and also took an active role as a member of the Lynwood Alumni Association. It was through her volunteer work that Yvee realized she wanted a career in education. After college, she worked simultaneously as an AVID tutor at Lynwood High School and as a substitute teacher while she earned her teaching credential and master’s degree. Currently she is teaching 11th grade AP United States History alongside her former teachers at her alma mater, Marco Antonio Firebaugh High School, and continues her role as a mentor for Lynwood students.
