A Great Leadership & Entrepreneur Program for Latinas: Deadline Extended

Comadres! This is an exciting Leadership opportunity for Latinas at USC. Designed by our friend and fellow Comadre Dr. Yasmin Davidds, this is the first of its kind in the country.  The Latina Millennial Leadership & Entrepreneur Protégé Program associated with USC’s Marshall School of Business and the USC Latino Alumni Association has extended their application deadline to Jan. 13th! It is open to professional Latina leaders under the age of 35 years old. They are searching for rising leaders and innovators that are committed to achieving transformational change in their communities, countries, and professional fields with a global impact. This program is for women between 18-35 years of age.

The program will selected women with the following qualifications:

-Demonstration of leadership as indicated by professional, volunteer, and other activities.
-Strength of character, motivation, and commitment to personal and professional goals.
-Full intention to participate in all program activities.

Please note: The program is not appropriate for women who are full-time students, seeking elected office, or going through professional or personal transition. It requires a considerable time commitment and the full attention of all of the participants during the training sessions.

Un Gran Programa de Liderazgo Emprendedor para Latinas:Plazo Extendido

Comadres! Esta es una oportunidad de liderazgo emocionante para latinas en la USC. Diseñado por nuestra amiga y compañera Comadre Dr. Yasmin Davidds, esta es la primera de su tipo en el país. La Latina Milenario Liderazgo y Emprendedor Programa Protégé asociado con Marshall  de Negocios y de la USC Escuela el USC Asociación de Antiguos Alumnos latinos ha ampliado su plazo de solicitud de 13 de enero! Está abierto a líderes latinas profesionales menores de 35 años de edad. Para buscar un aumento de los líderes e innovadores que se han comprometido a lograr un cambio transformador en sus comunidades, países y ámbitos profesionales con un impacto global. Este programa es para mujeres entre 18-35 años de edad requisitos…

El programa selecciona a mujeres con los siguientes…

-Demostración de liderazgo según lo indicado por profesionales, voluntarios y otras actividades.

– Carácter fuerte, compromiso con el personal y metas profesionales.

-Compromiso al cien a participar en todas las actividades del programa.

Nota: El programa no es apropiado para mujeres que son estudiantes de tiempo completo, en busca de cargos de elección popular,o estar pasando por una transición profesional o personal. Se requiere un considerable compromiso de tiempo y la atención de todos los participantes durante las sesiones de entrenamiento.

Alma V. Marquez is the founder of LaComadre.org and is the founder and CEO of Del Sol Group, a communications and public affairs firm focusing on Strategy, Outreach and Leadership in Education, Voter and Civic Engagement. She specializes in parent education, politics and community organizing. She is a proud product of California public schools. She is a graduate of Huntington Park High School in Southeast LA. She also completed her all of credit recovery classes at Maxine Waters Occupational Center in Watts in order to graduate from high school. She attended East LA College and transferred to Occidental College where she earned a Bachelor's degree in English and Comparative Literary Students and Politics. She earned a Master of Arts Degree in Urban Planning at UCLA. Her daughter is a junior in a charter school, chartered by LAUSD. She decided to start the LA Comadre blog because she wanted to create a platform for Latinas and education.
