Millie Delgado from Univision conducted a full interview with Juan Casas, a Boyle Heights DREAMer, prior to Attorney General Sessions’s announcement on DACA. Juan remains hopeful as his long-term fate remains in limbo until March 5, 2018, the date when the first set of DACA work permits is set to expire. In the midst of the current political chaos, Juan shared that he will stay strong, determined and loyal to this country. We hope Juan’s courage to share his story on a national platform gives the rest of DREAMers a sense of urgency to inform themselves and keep themselves up to date with resources available through DACA alliances and advocacy organizations such as United We Dream. La Comadre also intends to continue to keep everyone updated with trusted resources.
