Race for Superintendent of Public Instruction Still Too Close to Call

Most other races were ether called on the night of the election, including the Governor’s race which was actually called within minutes of the first update. Thereafter, most of the state constitutional office races were also called. Two were still too close to call on election night, Insurance Commissioner, which has since been called for Ricardo Lara and we congratulate him on that close and hard fought win!

The final outcome for the most expensive race on the ballot is literally still being tabulated and it is close.  Very close. Razor thin close!

Throughout most of the updates, Marshall Tuck has held a slight lead and then on Sunday, that seemed to turn. For a brief moment, Tony Thurmond took the lead but that was short-lived and seemed to be an error by Kern County, who transposed the numbers when reporting to the state.  The error was caught and corrected.

As we stand this morning, nearly one week after the election, they are separated by only 30K votes!

So, as you can see, it’s close. We remain cautiously optimistic that the voters of the state of California want to move away from the status quo, however, it is not lost of anyone that whoever takes it in the end, neither would have a mandate.  Update coming soon!

What do you think?
