Why I’m Happy I Chose James Jordan Middle School for my Daughter

When I was looking for a middle school for my daughter, my sister encouraged me to enroll her at James Jordan. My sister has known about James Jordan Middle School for several years because her children went there and she still has kids who go there now. She told me how great the teachers and academics are, but, honestly, I still had my doubts. I didn’t want to make the wrong decision because my daughter had already been accepted into other schools in our area and she had options.

I don’t know a lot about technology, so when I was making my decision, I didn’t know how to do my own research. I was sitting with a friend one day and I told her about James Jordan. She started doing some research online for me and told me about how great their statistics are. It’s a small school, they have great test scores, and the teachers have a wonderful relationship with students. James Jordan Middle School had a great testimony and, as a parent, this was important to me.

I decided to take a chance and enroll my daughter because several people I trusted had encouraged me to apply. When my daughter started at James Jordan, I knew I had made the right choice. She was getting good grades and she loved her teachers. Even this year, when she struggled in math and got a bad grade, she still had a good experience in class. Her teacher made her feel supported and the staff made sure she got the tutoring she needed. My daughter was able to grow through her struggles because James Jordan did everything they could to make sure she wasn’t left behind.

Not only has my daughter felt comfortable at James Jordan, but I have too. I’ve always felt at home in this community because whenever I have questions, the staff listens. They are attentive and considerate in the main office. The teachers are compassionate and caring. I’m able to connect with them because I can see that they love what they do. The teachers not only worry about the academics, but they also want to make sure that our kids are happy and healthy.

As a parent volunteer, I’ve been involved in helping other parents get to know James Jordan Middle School because I want them to have great experiences with their children’s schools too. I’m happy to share my own experiences because through assuring other parents, the way people assured me when I wasn’t sure what school to pick for my daughter, I can help them make a great choice.
